I think this issue is really interesting, especially because there are at least three cell blockers within our own school. I think that cell blockers should be illegal and I believe more in an "acceptable use policy" for technology in high schools. I really believe in use technology constantly in schools because teens today learn better with technology.
Obviously, we use technology ALL THE Time in this class, I, personally, find it incredibly helpful. :D
But anyway, from the teachers I've spoken to that have cell blockers, I've heard that the school encourages using these devices...Whats up with that? Also, a lot of teachers don't believe that using these devices aren't illegal OR that these devices aren't illegal on school grounds. I'm not qite sure why.
As for the "nanotechnology" approach, I don't think this is right either because parents should be able to contact students in times of emergency or students could be learning through the technology on their cell phones.
